We use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) technology for the creation and optimisation of your 3D designs ready for 3D Printing. If you don't currently have a CAD design for your idea or part that's not a problem. Our CAD designers can recreate most parts to precise dimensions allowing a 3D custom print to be created. They can even take a hand drawn sketch to a 3D design which you can review prior to 3D printing. We can also work with you on Reverse Engineering and Generative Design. This involves creating various 3D design options by inputting design parameters (height, size, material, methods, and cost constraints) into our generative design software leading to the formulation of the preferred design.

If you are looking to get a prototype made quickly 3D printing is the perfect solution. With our mode of operation, and flexible team and breath of solutions we can help you get your prototype designed and printed quickly. Almost anything you imagine could be 3D printed by creating layer upon layer of print. The most complex of designs, which may have required several parts to be put together in the past can be we’ve created on one go dramatically speeding up the creation of a prototype.
Not all 3d printing companies provide the support and asssitance we do.
Our 3D Printing services can provide two benefits when dealing with legacy parts. For individuals or companies who cannot find a replacement part (or a replacement part quick enough) for a machine a brand new one can be created through 3D Printing. By creating legacy parts for old, but still serviceable machinery businesses can keep capital costs down. Heavy equipment, planes, trucks suffer wears and tears. And this calls for an available stream of unique parts to make up for the lost ones.
For larger companies who are in the business of supplying spare parts, working with a suitable 3D Printing partner can provide a massive cash flow surplus by reducing physical stock level and replacing them with '3D print ready CAD designs spare parts can be 3D printed on demand. 3D Printing Manchester can help your revolutionise your legacy part business contact us to find out more about

The choice of 3D printing materials available to us are wide. And as such, it allows for great flexibility in cost and performance outcomes. Understanding the performance requirements (stresses and strains) of your product is crucial to ensure it performs as desired and our team of engineers can help. With our advice and support we would not want you to risk having product failures. This transparency and collaboration is all about helping our clients meet their goals. We employ the best use of Metals, Plastics, and Composites (carbon fibre) in the production of your designs, ideal for 3D printing a rapid prototype.
Injection moulding forms part of our total turnkey solution. We have developed innovative solutions to enable relatively small production runs to be possible for some materials. However, primarily injection moulding is one of the main processes to mass product a product, which has been trialled and tested with a 3D printed prototype. Once the initial cost of the mould has been covered, the cost of each unit will be a fraction of its 3D printed prototype enabling your innovation to become commercially viable on a larger scale.
The standard file type for a 3D image will be an STL file. If you have another type please let us know or send it through and we can see if we can convert it and then run it through our 3D printing software which will enable us to know how much material will be required, how long it will take to print and as a result allow us to provide you with an accurate quote.
The two terms are often used instead of each other and as a result, most people will take them to mean the same thing and as such exchange them as synonyms. However, taking literal definitions 3D printing is describing that 3D printing process is used which will form an object by printing layer upon layer of the material on top of each other whilst additive manufacturing is a wider term that describes any process which causes the material to be added together to create an object. So 3D printing is one type of additive manufacturing, others include electron-beam manufacturing and selective laser melting, which are much less common than 3D printing and as a result additive manufacturing is generally taken to mean 3D printing. Additive Manufacturing is used more frequently to refer to 3D printing in industrial and commercial environments and typically 3D printing machines, such s ours, cater for a much wider range of printing materials such as carbon fibre composites which will have more industrial uses.
No problem - in fact, it's quite common, especially for budding innovators. Our design team can take your 2D drawings or photos, or in the case of legacy parts a broken item and recreate it!
We don't use 3D scanners as our experience of trialling these is that recreating our own files is more accurate and cost-efficient.
Our commercial-grade printers can print items to the approximate size of a shoebox. This is the maximum size for a single print run. Whilst this will limit what can be produced we have on a number of occasions printed larger items by splitting the product into parts which then fit together to form a single larger item. The will not be applicable for all scenarios but again out design team can advise on whether or not this could be feasible for your particular item.
Commercial is generally meant as B2B and it is often the item that is to be 3d printed for a business that is sought when searching for commercial 3d printing services. A higher grade of the 3d printer will allow a greater breadth of materials to be 3d printed which will often cater for an item required for a specifc commercial used rather than a hobbiest, who would 3d print items more for aesthetic use rather than practical use.
Our printer can output 3d printed items in a variety of materials and can cater for small batch runs too. So if you are looking for a commercial 3d printing service be sure to discuss your requirements with us.
